Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins, and protein is the major component
of muscle. The amino acid profile reflects the quality of the protein and adequate supply
will result in optimal growth, functioning and performance. The Vuma Stud Horse Range

OILS are essential in horses’ diets and have four major roles in the body’s regulation, energy
production, cell membrane formation and hormone formation, and are carriers of the valuable fat
soluble Vitamins A, D, E and K. Most common oils are deficient in Omega 3 oils and are prone to

PROTEXIN is a multi-strain probiotic which contains live strains of seven naturally occurring
beneficial bacteria and three yeasts. Fed daily in selected Vuma rations, it maintains bacterial
balance in the gut, suppresses overgrowth of diarrhoea causing pathogens like E coli and
Salmonella, improves feed digestibility and conversion efficiency and reduces digestive upsets.

First in Africa: Conditioning the grains
|
Vuma pioneered the process of EXTRUSION, and through our international alliances remains
a world leader in the field. Raw grains are milled and pressure-cooked under controlled
conditions resulting in the gelatinization (unbundling) of the grain. The process moves digestion
to the small intestine where uptake is 100 times faster, and over 90% of the feed is digested.
Gas, heat and acid production is significantly reduced. The result is a reduction in the risks
associated with grain overload and acidosis, and is the most effective means of conditioning
raw grains known to science. Bar none. |
